We are passionate about trying to create a better future for the animals in Romania, and that our work over time can help set a precedent and create respect and better animal welfare. This in collaboration with many other animal welfare groups around Europe.

Our purpose is to focus on helping Maria and Adrian, who live in Romania, with the construction and maintenance of their shelter for dogs, as well as the dogs that come to and from this shelter.

If one studies Romanian street dogs, then their conditions in Romanian society are tragic. Therefore, what Maria and Adrian offer in their shelter is possibly for these dogs, the most loving and safest form of life they have encountered; but for us who love dogs, it’s like following some of the earth’s saddest fates. This shelter is without a roof, without protection, without running water, without shade or other protection against freezing cold or scorching heat.

Therefore, we want to focus on Maria and Adrian’s opportunities to help the dogs they find and pick up and receive from death shelters and the streets.

The way we want to help will initially be to focus on what improvements are needed to create better living conditions for the dogs living in the present shelter. But we also want to create better working conditions for those who work in the shelter.

In 2020, it has mainly been Maria and her husband Adrian, but also a single employee who is employed during periods when it is possible to pay for this and a few individual volunteers from Germany.

We want to base our collaboration with close contact to Maria and Adrian, but also the German and Swedish networks that we collaborate with to strengthen the support .
